About the Team

We are GT Ramblin’ Raas, Georgia Tech’s competitive Garba-Raas team and a community built around culture, creativity, and a shared love for dance. Through Raas, we celebrate Gujarati and South Asian culture while bringing our own energy, personality, and ideas to every performance. Our team is made up of students from different backgrounds, majors, and experiences who come together to perform, compete, travel, and create memories throughout the year. From late-night practices and competition weekends to campus performances, social events, and team traditions, Ramblin’ Raas is just as much about the people and community behind the performances as it is about what happens on stage.

We were founded in 2009 with the goal of bringing competitive Garba-Raas to Georgia Tech and creating a space for students to celebrate and share South Asian culture through dance. Since then, we have grown into one of the most established collegiate Raas teams in the country. Some of our major milestones include qualifying for Raas All-Stars five times in the past six seasons, becoming 2025 National Champions, and earning 2nd place nationally in 2026. Throughout our history, we have continued to build on the legacy of the teams before us while representing Georgia Tech at competitions and performances across the country.
